“Air Defence System Foiled Indian Missile Attacks,” says DG ISPR

Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has said that the Pakistan Air Defence System successfully intercepted and neutralised the missile attacks launched by India on Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases. He said that Pakistan possesses electronic evidence which confirms the origin of these missiles and clearly shows where they were launched from.

DG ISPR said that the missile and drone strikes on Afghanistan were also carried out by India, and these attacks were launched immediately after the incidents in Indian Punjab. He said this sequence of events clearly indicates that India is pursuing a larger plan to destabilise the region, disrupt the balance, and push South Asia toward war.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that India’s increasing aggression is being decisively countered and that every cowardly attack is being successfully thwarted. He said such actions can never demoralise the people of Pakistan. Instead, he said, these provocations by India are only strengthening the nation’s resolve and unity.

He further said that if anyone wants to witness the courage and determination of the Pakistani people, they should look at Rawalpindi, where large numbers of citizens have come out onto the streets in support of the Pakistan Army. He emphasised that the armed forces are fully prepared at all times to defend the country and its sovereignty.

Earlier, during a press conference, DG ISPR made it clear that if India harbours a desire for Pakistan to attack, then it should rest assured that this wish will indeed be fulfilled—at a time and in a manner of Pakistan’s own choosing.
