Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan has said that India is involved in acts of terrorism inside Pakistan and should be held accountable by the international community.
He stated that the world must take India’s war hysteria seriously, as it poses a threat to regional peace. On the night of May 7, India demonstrated aggression, which was a clear violation of international laws. He said India ignored global appeals for restraint.
The spokesperson also said that the accusation made by India is baseless. He added that India used the Pahalgam incident as a pretext to launch false propaganda against Pakistan, while Pakistan has demanded a transparent investigation into the incident. “Can the world allow one country to attack another merely on the basis of a few social media posts?” he questioned.
Rejecting the undiplomatic statement of the Indian Foreign Secretary, the FO spokesperson reiterated that India is involved in terrorism inside Pakistan and must be held responsible for its crimes. He said India is violating international laws, while Pakistan continues to show utmost restraint.
Commenting on India’s announcement of suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, he termed it meaningless for Pakistan, stating that under the treaty, millions of people depend on access to water.
