In the wake of heightened tensions following an Indian military attack, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has established an emergency control room to manage potential crises and ensure swift response in any emergency situation.

According to RDA Director General Kunza Murtaza, the move is aimed at enabling timely and effective coordination in the event of further escalation. “The control room will allow us to respond rapidly to any emergency scenario and ensure public safety,” she stated.

All officer and staff leaves have been cancelled, and the entire RDA workforce has been placed on high alert. DG Murtaza emphasized that the authority is committed to maintaining essential civic services and is taking all necessary precautions to protect residents during this critical time.

“We stand united with the Pakistan Army and are fully prepared to support both the public and our national defence efforts,” she affirmed.

The RDA’s proactive measures come amid nationwide readiness initiatives, as civil and military institutions brace for any further developments in the ongoing conflict.
