A high-level Turkish military delegation led by Lieutenant General Yasir Gadioglu, Chief of Intelligence of the Turkish General Staff, visited the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Headquarters on Tuesday and met with Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on the regional geo-strategic environment, progress on ongoing joint projects, and enhancing military collaboration in modern warfare technologies and training.
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu highlighted the shared values and aspirations that form the foundation of the longstanding Pakistan-Türkiye relationship. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties in key areas such as counter-terrorism, satellite programs, and imagery intelligence.
Both commanders underlined the need to expand training programmes for Turkish cadets in the PAF, incorporating cutting-edge technologies, artificial intelligence-based learning modules, and joint exercises to modernise the training framework.
Lieutenant General Yasir Gadioglu expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended by Pakistan and appreciated the enduring brotherly relations between the two countries.
The visit of the high-ranking Turkish delegation to the Air Headquarters reflects the shared resolve of Pakistan and Türkiye to deepen their strategic partnership and marks a significant step in furthering inter-military cooperation.
