QUETTA: A deadly roadside bomb blast in Kapotu, a rural area of Kalat District, has claimed the lives of four individuals, including Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) leader Maulana Abdullah Nechari, while five others have been critically injured.
According to Levies sources, the blast was initially believed to have been caused by a remotely controlled IED placed along the roadside. The explosion occurred when the victims’ vehicle was passing through the area.
The blast completely destroyed the vehicle. Among the dead were two women and a child. The injured were initially given medical aid at DHQ Hospital Kalat and later referred to Quetta due to their critical condition.
In the aftermath of the attack, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation into the incident.
This tragic event marks a significant escalation in the ongoing unrest in Balochistan, raising concerns about the safety of political leaders and civilians in the region.
