In a targeted anti-Taliban operation, the National Resistance Front (NRF) forces attacked a Taliban base near Khan Abad district of Kunduz province late last night, resulting in the killing of three Taliban fighters and injuries to three others, NRF sources confirmed.
The operation began at approximately 1:30 PM in the “Mullah Karim Flood” area along the Kunduz-Khanabad highway. NRF fighters targeted a base belonging to the 1st Brigade of the Taliban’s Omar Corps, leading to a firefight during which two Taliban Humvee tanks were destroyed.
According to the NRF, the operation was conducted with precision, resulting in no casualties among its fighters or local civilians.
The NRF stated that such operations are part of its ongoing campaign to eliminate the Taliban’s military presence and liberate Afghanistan from what it describes as the group’s terrorist domination.
