CTD Islamabad arrests key TTP operative involved in surveillance of sensitive sites

In a major counter-terrorism breakthrough, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Islamabad, in close coordination with a federal intelligence agency, successfully apprehended a wanted terrorist identified as Hasan during an operation in the federal capital.

According to officials, the arrested individual was actively involved in making and disseminating video footage of sensitive locations in both Karachi and Islamabad, posing a serious threat to national security. His actions were part of a broader plan to facilitate terrorist activities by providing strategic information to banned militant groups.

Investigations revealed that Hasan had long-standing ties to the proscribed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and had been engaged in raising funds for the organization. He is also believed to have played a role in multiple terrorist incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, further establishing his position as a significant threat in the network of violent extremism.
