In line with special directives from senior officials, the district police have intensified targeted search and strike operations across the region to maintain law and order and curb criminal activity.
Under the supervision of SP Cantt Division Aitzaz Arif, a major targeted search and strike operation was conducted in the Sufaid Dheri area within the jurisdiction of Pishtakhara, with the support of Pakistan Army.
The operation, led by SP Aitzaz Arif himself, was carried out jointly by DSP Pishtakhara Circle Muhammad Ashfaq Khan, SHO Pishtakhara Police Station Tahseen Ullah, local police, lady police officers, the Rapid Response Force (RRF), sniffer dogs, the Ababeel Squad, and other specialised units.
During the house-to-house operation, several suspects wanted in murder and other criminal cases were taken into custody. Unregistered tenants, individuals in possession of illegal weapons, and other suspected criminals were also apprehended. Weapons and narcotics were recovered during the operation.
“The purpose of this operation is to ensure security and maintain peace in the area,” said SP Aitzaz Arif.
