Reports of Bagram Airbase Being Handed Over to the U.S. Proven False

Recent reports circulating on social media, claiming that the Afghan Taliban government has handed over Bagram Airbase to the United States, have been widely disseminated by both national and international media outlets. However, the Taliban has categorically rejected these claims, labeling them as “false propaganda.”

In response to these rumors, Afghan Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid dismissed the reports as “nonsense,” asserting that the Taliban’s desire for friendly relations with the U.S. and other countries does not imply the surrender of Afghan territory. “The claim that the U.S. has taken control of Bagram Airbase is completely false,” Mujahid stated, further condemning the circulation of the misleading reports.

The Taliban emphasized that while they seek amicable relations with all nations, including the United States, it does not equate to relinquishing Afghanistan’s sovereignty. The claims regarding Bagram have now been definitively debunked, reinforcing the Taliban’s commitment to maintaining full control over Afghan soil.
