Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has ruled out negotiations or concessions for anyone who refuse to accept Pakistan and its Constitution, vowing that the province will be cleared of terrorism and the sacrifices of fallen security personnel will not go in vain.

Speaking to the media in Charsadda after offering Fateha at the residences of martyred Deputy Superintendent of Police Imranuddin and Constable Kazim Jan, the governor said Pakistan’s armed forces, police and other security agencies had made immense sacrifices for the country’s survival and security.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with our security forces and will never forget their sacrifices,” Kundi said, adding that the province must be freed from terrorism.

Referring to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s recent remarks, the governor said terrorists operating among the public must be separated from the population and dealt with firmly. He urged citizens not to provide shelter to terrorists and to keep themselves away from their networks.

Kundi said the weapons left behind following the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan had fallen into the hands of terrorists. He added that terrorist groups possessed sophisticated weapons that were not even available to Pakistan’s security forces.

The governor pledged to strengthen the police’s operational capacity, saying the provincial government would provide modern weapons to the force by reducing development allocations if necessary.

He reiterated that there should be no negotiations or concessions for those who act against Pakistan and refuse to accept its Constitution.

Kundi said the sacrifices of police officers and other security personnel would be honored by continuing efforts to restore lasting peace across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
