Pakistan Forces Take Down 5 Fitna al-Khawarij, Capture 3 Alive in Infiltration Bid from Afghanistan

Pakistan’s security forces successfully foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of Fitna al-Khawarij (FAK), associated Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), attempting to cross into Pakistan from Afghanistan during the night of 17–18 October.

The timely and effective response by security forces thwarted the infiltration attempt, resulting in the elimination of five Fitna al-Khawarij operatives, while three others were captured alive. The operation underscores the vigilance, operational preparedness, and unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to safeguarding the country’s territorial integrity and preventing cross-border infiltration by hostile elements.

During the night of 17–18 October, security forces detected and engaged a group identified as Fitna al-Khawarij attempting to infiltrate Pakistani territory from Afghanistan. Acting promptly, security personnel effectively countered the attempted infiltration and brought the situation under control. As a result of the engagement, five Fitna al-Khawarij operatives were neutralised, while three were apprehended alive.

The successful operation prevented the group from advancing into Pakistani territory and demonstrated the effectiveness of the security measures in place to monitor and counter infiltration attempts along the border.

The incident highlights the continuing security challenges associated with cross-border infiltration and the importance of sustained vigilance along Pakistan’s western frontier. Pakistan’s security forces remain alert to attempts by Fitna al-Khawarij to exploit the border region for infiltration and other hostile activities. Through timely detection, coordinated responses, and persistent operational readiness, security personnel continue to work towards preventing such threats from endangering the lives and security of Pakistani citizens.

The capture of three operatives alive may also provide an opportunity for further investigation into the group’s activities, movements, and infiltration network, subject to the findings of the relevant authorities.
