Security forces have eliminated five terrorists and injured four others during an intelligence-based operation in the Palantak area of Washuk district, as counterterrorism operations continue across Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, according to security sources.
The operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence regarding the presence of suspected terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces engaged the targets and used advanced weaponry to strike terrorist hideouts, successfully neutralising five militants and injuring four others.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to counter terrorist threats, disrupt militant activities, and strengthen security across the province. Security forces continue to pursue their mission of protecting local communities, safeguarding critical infrastructure, and maintaining peace and stability in Balochistan.
According to security sources, a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and other equipment was recovered from the killed terrorists following the operation.
The recovered items reportedly included:
- One RPG-7 launcher.
- Five RPG rounds.
- Five modern firearms, along with magazines.
- Three mobile phones.
- Two motorcycles.
The recovery of these items is expected to assist the relevant authorities in assessing the operational capabilities and activities of the individuals targeted during the operation. Security sources stated that the killed terrorists were allegedly involved in looting local residents, spreading fear and intimidation, and damaging infrastructure in Balochistan.
Such activities pose serious threats to public safety, disrupt daily life, and undermine efforts to promote stability and development in affected communities. The operation is part of broader counterterrorism efforts aimed at preventing further violence and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
Security forces remain committed to countering terrorism and dismantling networks responsible for violence, intimidation, and attacks on infrastructure. Operations under Radd-ul-Fitna 3 are continuing in different areas of Balochistan as authorities pursue efforts to address emerging security threats.
