A substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and other equipment was also recovered during the operation.

According to the information provided by the security authorities, the operation was launched following intelligence reports indicating the presence of Fitna al-Hindustan militants allegedly involved in robbing local Baloch residents, spreading fear and intimidation, and damaging infrastructure in the area. The operation reflects the continued efforts of security forces to counter militant activities, disrupt armed networks, and protect local communities from violence, intimidation, and targeted attacks.

The operation was conducted in the Palantak area of Washuk as part of the ongoing security campaign under Operation Radd-ul-Fitana III. During the operation, the Quick Reaction Force (QRF), utilizing modern technology, identified militant positions and engaged the targets with advanced weaponry.

The engagement resulted in the deaths of five militants, while four others sustained injuries. Security personnel subsequently recovered weapons, ammunition, and other items from the area. The operation was carried out in response to intelligence concerning the presence of armed elements allegedly engaged in criminal activities, intimidation of local residents, and attacks on infrastructure. Such activities pose a serious threat to public safety, undermine economic activity, and disrupt the daily lives of communities already facing significant security challenges.

The successful identification and engagement of the suspected militant positions underscore the importance of intelligence-led operations, technological capabilities, and operational preparedness in addressing security threats in remote and vulnerable areas of Balochistan.

During the operation, security forces recovered a cache of weapons and equipment believed by the authorities to be associated with the militants’ activities.

The recovered items included:

  • Five modern firearms, along with their magazines.
  • Five RPG-7 rockets or rounds, as described in the operational account.
  • Three mobile phones.
  • Two motorcycles.

According to the security authorities, the recovered weapons and ammunition were intended to be used in targeted killings of members of the Baloch population.
