Pakistan’s security forces eliminated 13 Afghan terrorists attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan international border in a precision strike carried out on the basis of intelligence, security officials said.

The terrorists were targeted as they attempted to infiltrate into Pakistan, with the security forces conducting a precise aerial strike to prevent the cross-border movement.

The operation was launched after actionable intelligence indicated the presence and movement of the group near the international border. The terrorists were neutralized before they could cross into Pakistani territory.

A large cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the site following the strike, further indicating the group’s preparations for terrorist activity inside Pakistan.

Security forces remain on heightened alert along the border and are maintaining surveillance to prevent attempts by terrorists operating from Afghan territory to infiltrate Pakistan.

The latest operation comes amid continued security concerns over terrorist groups using Afghan soil to facilitate cross-border attacks against Pakistan.

Pakistan has repeatedly called on the Afghan Taliban authorities to prevent their territory from being used by terrorist groups against neighboring countries, particularly Pakistan.
