Major Blow in D.I. Khan: 8 Khawarij, Including 3 Key Commanders, Eliminated in Intelligence-Based Operation

Security forces have successfully neutralised eight terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan, as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.

According to security sources, the operation was launched on the basis of actionable intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. Security forces conducted the operation with precision, resulting in the elimination of eight Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists.

Security sources said that the operation delivered a significant blow to the terrorist network, with three key commanders of Fitna al-Khawarij among the eight terrorists killed. The elimination of these key figures is expected to disrupt the operational capabilities and organisational structure of the terrorist network in the area.

The successful intelligence-based action also demonstrates the importance of timely intelligence and targeted counterterrorism operations in identifying and neutralising terrorist elements before they can carry out attacks or establish operational footholds.

During the operation, security forces also recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, along with foreign currency, from the killed terrorists. The recovery of arms, ammunition and other material provides further evidence of the operational resources available to the terrorist elements and will assist relevant authorities in their ongoing efforts to trace their networks, sources of support and logistical connections.

The successful operation represents another significant setback for Fitna al-Khawarij, particularly in view of the reported presence of three key commanders among those eliminated. The action highlights the continued capability of security forces to conduct intelligence-driven operations against terrorist networks operating in areas vulnerable to terrorism.

By acting on intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists, security forces were able to disrupt the group and prevent the area from being used as a base for further terrorist activity.
