Security Forces have successfully neutralised 19 terrorists in separate intelligence-based and clearance operations across Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The operations were conducted in response to intelligence regarding the presence and movement of terrorist elements posing a threat to local communities and national security. During the operations, security forces effectively targeted terrorist hideouts and positions, recovering weapons, ammunition and explosives from cleared locations.
During the intense exchange of fire in one of the operations, 39-year-old Havaldar Muhammad Jameel of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while fighting the terrorists. The soldier, a resident of Taunsa Sharif, District Dera Ghazi Khan, made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
According to ISPR, intelligence agencies had reported the presence of multiple hideouts belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan in the Shaban area of Quetta District.
The terrorist elements were reportedly using these locations as bases and posed a serious threat to the local population. In response, Security Forces commenced a comprehensive clearance operation in Shaban on 21 September 2026, aimed at protecting the civilian population and eliminating terrorist infrastructure from the area.
During the operation, Security Forces effectively engaged and cleared multiple terrorist hideouts following intense exchanges of fire.
According to ISPR, 13 terrorists have so far been killed during the ongoing clearance operation. The cleared locations have also yielded significant quantities of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
Security Forces continue to conduct sanitisation and clearance activities in the area. The operation will continue until the remaining threat is fully eliminated and the area is secured.
In separate intelligence-based operations conducted on 22 and 23 September 2026 in Kech District and Quetta West, Security Forces successfully targeted terrorist elements based on actionable intelligence. The operations were launched as pre-emptive measures to disrupt terrorist activity and prevent hostile elements from carrying out attacks against the local population and security forces.
Following intense exchanges of fire, six additional terrorists were killed. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the eliminated terrorists. These operations underscore the continued effectiveness of intelligence-led counter-terrorism efforts aimed at dismantling terrorist networks before they can execute their plans.
During the exchange of fire, Havaldar Muhammad Jameel, aged 39, embraced martyrdom while demonstrating courage and devotion to duty. Havaldar Muhammad Jameel belonged to Taunsa Sharif in District Dera Ghazi Khan. His sacrifice stands as a solemn reminder of the price paid by Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism and in the protection of the lives and security of the country’s citizens.
The nation pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of its fallen soldier and stands in solidarity with his family and comrades.
ISPR stated that, under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, the comprehensive campaign against terrorism will continue with full momentum. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain fully committed to dismantling terrorist networks and eliminating the threat of terrorism, including terrorism that Pakistan says is supported and facilitated from abroad.
The latest operations demonstrate the continued resolve of Pakistan’s security forces to act against terrorist elements wherever actionable intelligence identifies their presence and to prevent them from establishing safe havens or threatening civilian populations.
Security Forces will continue to conduct intelligence-based operations, clearance activities and targeted actions against terrorist elements in accordance with the prevailing security requirements. Pakistan’s security forces remain determined to protect the lives and property of its citizens and to deny terrorist organisations the space to operate, regroup or establish infrastructure.
