Security forces, acting on the basis of intelligence-based confirmation of the presence of terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan (FAH), conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Afghan-e-Koh area of Prome, Kech District, Balochistan, as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-III.
The operation was launched after credible intelligence confirmed the presence of an FAH group operating under the command of Murtaza alias Doctor in the area.
During the operation, security forces detected four FAH terrorists travelling on two motorcycles. Upon being intercepted by the approaching troops, the terrorists opened fire and attempted to escape from the area. Security forces responded immediately, engaging the fleeing terrorists in an intense exchange of fire. The troops pursued the terrorists and successfully neutralized all four FAH terrorists.
The successful operation demonstrated the effectiveness of intelligence-led security measures in identifying and disrupting terrorist groups operating in remote areas of Balochistan. The timely identification of the terrorist group enabled security forces to intercept the elements before they could carry out any reported hostile activity in the area.
The terrorists attempted to evade the security forces after opening fire, but the pursuing troops maintained effective contact and prevented their escape. Following the exchange of fire, all four terrorists were eliminated.
The operation also disrupted the movement of the group reportedly operating under Murtaza alias Doctor, further restricting the operational space available to terrorist elements in the region.
The operation forms part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-III, under which security forces are conducting intelligence-based operations against terrorist elements and their support networks across the country. Security forces remain vigilant and continue surveillance of the surrounding areas to identify any remaining terrorist elements, facilitators or associates linked to the group.
