Police sources have confirmed that at least 16 people, including seven police personnel, have been martyred in a bomb blast at a mosque located within the Kohat Police Lines.
According to the latest information available, 57 people have sustained injuries in the blast. The casualties are being assessed as authorities continue their response to the incident.
Following the explosion, security forces and police personnel cordoned off the area and launched a comprehensive search operation to secure the site and surrounding areas.
