Security forces eliminated two terrorists during an operation against terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district, disrupting another attempt to operate from the area.
The operation was conducted after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the terrorists, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists.
A substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition and other equipment was recovered from the terrorists’ possession following the operation.
The recovery of a significant cache of arms and ammunition indicates that the terrorists were equipped to carry out further attacks and maintain their operational activity in the area.
Security forces have intensified intelligence-based operations across Bannu and adjoining areas to track down terrorist networks, dismantle their hideouts and prevent them from regrouping.
The latest operation comes amid continued efforts by security forces and law-enforcement agencies to deny terrorists space to operate in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where security forces remain focused on eliminating threats to local communities and restoring lasting security.
