A misleading propaganda campaign launched by the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been exposed after a fabricated video claiming the arrival of TTP commander Noor Wali Mehsud in Pakistan was found to be false.
According to the details, the TTP circulated a deceptive video on social media on 4 August 2026, attempting to create a false impression that Noor Wali Mehsud had entered Pakistan and appeared in areas of Kurram and Khyber. However, subsequent verification revealed that the footage was not recorded in Pakistan but was actually filmed in Afghanistan’s Kunar province.
The exposure of the fabricated content highlights the continued use of misinformation and digital propaganda tactics by terrorist organizations to manipulate public perception and project a false narrative regarding their activities and presence.
