Pakistan’s security forces successfully foiled a major terrorist plot during a timely intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khuzdar District, Balochistan, destroying two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) and killing four operatives of Fitna al-Hindustan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation was conducted on 30 July 2026 after credible intelligence indicated the presence and movement of operatives belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan, an Indian-sponsored terrorist proxy operating in Balochistan. Acting swiftly on the intelligence, security forces launched a meticulously planned operation to intercept the threat before it could be executed.
During the operation, security forces successfully tracked the movement of two vehicles laden with large quantities of explosives, which were being transported for use in planned terrorist attacks. Through a rapid, precise, and coordinated response, both vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices (VBIEDs) were intercepted and destroyed before they could reach their intended targets.
The four operatives driving the explosive-laden vehicles were killed during the operation, preventing what could have resulted in devastating attacks against innocent civilians, public infrastructure, or security installations. The successful neutralization of the VBIEDs represents a significant operational achievement and a major setback to the terrorist network’s capability to conduct high-casualty attacks.
Following the successful engagement, security forces immediately launched comprehensive clearance and sanitization operations across the surrounding area. Search efforts remain underway to locate and eliminate any remaining operatives, facilitators, or support elements associated with Fitna al-Hindustan, ensuring that no residual threat remains.
The operation once again underscores the professionalism, vigilance, and operational preparedness of Pakistan’s security forces, whose timely action averted a potentially catastrophic act of terrorism. By intercepting the explosive-laden vehicles before they could be deployed, the forces safeguarded countless innocent lives and reinforced national security.
According to ISPR, the operation reflects Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eradicate externally sponsored terrorism from its soil. In line with the Azm-e-Istehkam vision approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue intelligence-driven counterterrorism operations with full determination until every manifestation of foreign-sponsored terrorism has been eliminated.
Pakistan’s security forces remain steadfast in their commitment to protecting the country’s sovereignty, preserving peace and stability, and ensuring the safety of its citizens. Operations against Fitna al-Hindustan and all other hostile elements will continue with uncompromising resolve until the terrorist infrastructure and its support networks are completely dismantled.
