Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir held a meeting with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, where the two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, regional security, and ways to further strengthen longstanding fraternal ties.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister, who is visiting Pakistan, arrived at GHQ along with Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nasser Abdulrahman J. Al-Mutairi and met Field Marshal Asim Munir.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining cooperation with Kuwait at all levels. The two sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, regional security challenges, and measures to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The ISPR said the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s unwavering support, its constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability, and the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two countries.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to Kuwait and emphasized that both nations share a common vision for regional peace, stability, and prosperity.

Pakistan and Kuwait have maintained close diplomatic, economic, and defence relations for decades, with cooperation expanding across multiple areas of mutual interest. The meeting at GHQ reflected the continued commitment of both countries to further strengthening their partnership in the face of evolving regional and global security challenges.
