Field Marshal Asim Munir Vows Full-Fledged Action Against Terror Networks Until Complete Elimination

Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed that operations against Fitna al-Khwarij and Fitna al-Hindustan will continue with full force until terrorism and its facilitators are completely eliminated.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir addressed participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, where he highlighted the security challenges facing the country and reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate terrorist networks threatening national security.

The army chief said that counterterrorism operations against Fitna al-Khwarij and Fitna al-Hindustan would continue until the complete eradication of terrorism and its facilitators.

He stressed that Pakistan remains firmly committed to eliminating terrorist infrastructure wherever it poses a threat to the country’s security and stability.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said the sustained efforts of security forces and law enforcement agencies, coupled with unwavering public support, would ensure lasting peace and stability in Balochistan.

He said that externally sponsored proxy elements were continuously attempting to create unrest, instability and disrupt peace in Balochistan. However, he added that the armed forces, with the unity and steadfast support of the people, would defeat all such nefarious designs.

Terming Balochistan as the pride of Pakistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir said the province possesses immense natural resources and is home to patriotic, talented and courageous people who represent its true strength.

He said the federal and provincial governments were pursuing people-centric and comprehensive development initiatives aimed at bringing socio-economic transformation to Balochistan and changing the future of its people.

The army chief also appreciated the positive role of civil society, universities, media and youth in promoting national cohesion, saying that unity, perseverance and collective efforts were essential to overcoming challenges faced by the country and laying the foundation for a prosperous future.

According to ISPR, a detailed question-and-answer session was also held with the participants at the conclusion of the event. During the interaction, participants expressed their resolve to contribute towards Pakistan’s stability, development, peace and sovereignty.
