The identity of the terrorist eliminated during the failed attack on a security forces post in the Maki Sar area of Shawal Valley, North Waziristan, has been confirmed as Jamauddin alias Musab, a terrorist affiliated with Fitna al-Khwarij.
According to security sources, Jamauddin alias Musab was among the terrorists who attempted to storm the Maki Sar security forces post on July 18. Alert troops responded swiftly and effectively, foiling the assault and eliminating the attacker before the terrorists could achieve their objective.
Sources said the identification process has now confirmed the slain terrorist’s identity, while efforts are underway to establish the identities of any other terrorists involved in the attack and trace their network of facilitators.
The failed assault once again reflects the continued attempts by Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists to target security installations in North Waziristan. However, security forces remain on high alert and continue to thwart such attacks through timely intelligence and prompt operational responses.
Security operations and intelligence-based actions against terrorist networks are continuing across North Waziristan to eliminate their infrastructure, disrupt their movement and prevent future attacks against security forces and civilians.
