Security forces in Balochistan successfully repelled a terrorist ambush in the Azmari Shar area of Loralai district, killing three India-backed terrorists and injuring several others in a swift and coordinated counter-operation, according to security sources.
Officials said that security forces were carrying out a successful operation in the area when terrorists belonging to the group referred to as Fitna al-Hindustan, positioned in nearby mountainous terrain, attempted to launch an ambush on the security personnel.
The attack was promptly responded to by the security forces, who utilized professional skills and tactical coordination to neutralize the threat and prevent any casualties among their ranks. In the ensuing exchange of fire, three terrorists were eliminated on the spot while multiple others sustained injuries.
Following the failed ambush and heavy losses, the remaining terrorists reportedly fled the scene in a damaged condition. Security forces immediately launched a follow-up search operation in the surrounding mountainous areas to track down escaping terrorists.
Authorities confirmed that the area has since been cleared and brought under full control, with ongoing search and sweep operations continuing to ensure no further presence of hostile elements remains in the region.
Security officials described the failed ambush and subsequent retreat of the attackers as a clear indication of the operational effectiveness and preparedness of the security forces. They emphasized that the forces remain committed to continuing counterterrorism operations across Balochistan until the complete elimination of terrorist networks from the region.
The incident in Loralai reflects the continuing pattern of attempted ambushes and retaliatory engagements in Balochistan’s mountainous districts, where security forces frequently engage with terrorist elements attempting to exploit difficult terrain for cover and mobility.
Despite such attempts, security forces have consistently maintained pressure through intelligence-based operations and coordinated field responses, resulting in the disruption of multiple planned attacks in recent months.
