Three terrorists were eliminated during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by security forces in the Gorandi area of Turbat, Balochistan, according to sources.

Sources said the operation was launched after security agencies received credible intelligence regarding the presence of armed terrorists in the area. Acting swiftly on the information, security forces surrounded the suspected hideout, triggering an exchange of fire.

During the ensuing operation, three terrorists were eliminated. No casualties among security personnel were immediately reported.

A large cache of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and other war-related material was recovered from the terrorists’ possession during the operation, sources added.

The recovered material is believed to have been intended for use in future terrorist activities in the region. A search and clearance operation was launched in the surrounding area to ensure that no other terrorists remained concealed and to recover any additional weapons or explosives.

Turbat and other parts of Balochistan have witnessed repeated intelligence-based operations in recent months as security forces continue efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and prevent attacks targeting civilians, security personnel, and critical infrastructure.
