Six workers of a gas company were abducted by unidentified armed men identified as elements of Fitna al-Hindustan in the Zarghoon Ghar area of Shahrag Tehsil, District Harnai, according to preliminary reports received from local authorities.
The incident occurred earlier today when armed assailants intercepted and forcibly took the labourers from the vicinity of their work site. The abducted individuals were engaged in routine duties related to gas sector operations in the region when they were targeted.
The victims have been identified as Jalat Khan, Muhammad Hashim, Kamal Khan, Jahangir Khan, Muhammad Azeem, and Roze Khan.
Following the incident, security forces and law enforcement agencies promptly initiated a comprehensive search and rescue operation in the surrounding areas. All available resources have been mobilized to trace the whereabouts of the abducted workers and ensure their safe recovery.
Authorities have cordoned off the affected region and intensified intelligence-based operations to track down those responsible for the abduction. Security forces are actively pursuing multiple leads, while coordination between ground units and intelligence agencies remains ongoing.
