Security forces have successfully concluded the first phase of Operation “Tarsani Hunt”, a targeted counterterrorism operation conducted in Balochistan against a terrorist hideout. The operation resulted in significant operational gains, including the elimination of two terrorists, the recovery of a large cache of weapons, explosives, and logistical equipment, and the disruption of terrorist infrastructure in the area.
According to available information, security forces launched a meticulously planned operation after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists in a remote hideout. During the ensuing engagement, two terrorists were neutralized. The body of one terrorist was recovered from the site, while the elimination of a second terrorist and the wounding of another were confirmed during the operation.
A comprehensive search of the terrorists’ hideout led to the recovery of a substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition, explosives, and logistical supplies intended to sustain terrorist activities in the region. Among the recovered items were a BLA flag, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), IED fabrication equipment, approximately two kilograms of explosive material, an RPG launcher with associated ammunition, UBGIL rounds, PKM machine-gun ammunition, wireless communication sets, solar panels, batteries, medicines, food supplies, blankets, water containers, and other essential operational equipment.
During the clearance operation, security personnel also successfully detected and neutralized multiple secondary explosive devices that had been planted by the terrorists, preventing potential casualties and ensuring the safety of the forces operating in the area.
All recovered weapons, explosives, communication devices, and logistical materials have been transported to a secure facility for detailed forensic examination and intelligence analysis. The evidence collected is expected to assist in identifying terrorist networks, their facilitators, supply chains, and future operational plans.
Security forces continue to conduct clearance and search operations in the surrounding area to ensure that any remaining terrorist elements are located and eliminated, while maintaining heightened vigilance to prevent any attempt by militants to regroup.
