Security forces successfully foiled a major terrorist plot in Panjgur during a targeted intelligence-based operation, recovering a significant cache of weapons, explosive materials, and communication equipment.
During the operation, security personnel intercepted and searched a suspicious vehicle, leading to the recovery of four rocket fuses along with multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs). In addition, communication equipment believed to be used for coordination and planning of militant activity was also seized from the scene.
Preliminary assessments indicate that the recovered materials were intended for a planned act of sabotage aimed at destabilizing the area and endangering civilian lives. The timely and effective action by security forces disrupted the malicious design and prevented what could have resulted in a large-scale tragedy.
Following the recovery, the area was immediately secured and a search operation was launched to trace any accomplices or linked elements. Further investigations are underway to determine the network behind the attempted attack and to dismantle any remaining infrastructure associated with it.
Authorities have reiterated that security forces remain fully committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region and will continue intelligence-based operations to eliminate threats posed by hostile elements.
The successful operation in Panjgur is being seen as a significant achievement in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, reflecting the preparedness, coordination, and operational efficiency of security agencies in safeguarding national security and protecting civilian populations.
