A fierce exchange of fire took place between security forces and Khwarij in the Tor Chapar area of Dara Adam Khel, Kohat, according to security sources.
The intense gunbattle reportedly resulted in the killing of more than five Khawarij militants, while several others sustained injuries during the operation.
Sources said the clash continued for a considerable time as security forces launched a strong response against the militants’ positions in the area.
During the operation, two brave security personnel embraced martyrdom while four other soldiers were injured in the line of duty.
Security forces are said to be continuing clearance activities in and around the area to eliminate any remaining threats.
