Unidentified terrorists belonging to what officials describe as “Fitna al-Hindustan” reportedly carried out a late-night attack on the residence and compound of tribal figure Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Samalani in the Sajid area of Tehsil Basima, district Washuk, Balochistan.
According to initial reports, the attackers opened fire on the compound, resulting in the death of Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Samalani on the spot. Reports also suggest that several other individuals sustained injuries in the attack, although the exact number of wounded has not yet been confirmed.
No group has officially claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Further details regarding the condition of the injured and the motive behind the assault are awaited.
