Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Girdi Jungle area of Dalbandin based on credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorist elements and planned subversive activities.
According to security sources, the operation was launched in a timely and well-coordinated manner to pre-empt potential terrorist threats and dismantle operational capabilities of hostile elements in the region. During the operation, security forces effectively targeted suspected hideouts and foiled what officials described as potentially catastrophic terror plots.
As a result of the operation, a substantial cache of heavy weaponry and explosive material was recovered. The seized arms and ammunition include 11 shoulder-fired missiles, 10 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), 5 RPG-7 launchers, and 5 mortar shells.
Officials stated that the recovery of such a significant quantity of high-grade weaponry highlights the scale of planned terrorist activities in the area and underscores the importance of proactive intelligence-based action in preventing loss of innocent civilian lives.
