Indian-backed and Afghan-backed terrorists carried out coordinated acts of violence in separate incidents across Bajaur District and Tank District, martyring two police personnel assigned to anti-polio security duty and an FC official travelling home during leave.

According to police sources, the first attack occurred in the Salarzai Tehsil area of Dag Qila, where terrorists opened fire on police constable Syed Aziz, who was deployed to provide security to an anti-polio team. He embraced martyrdom on the spot.

In a second attack in the same tehsil, another policeman identified as Qadir was martyred after terrorists again targeted personnel protecting the anti-polio campaign. The twin attacks in a single day exposed the continued efforts of terrorist networks to sabotage Pakistan’s public health initiatives through fear and violence.

Police teams reached both crime scenes, collected evidence, and launched investigations, while security forces initiated search operations in surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Tank District, unidentified terrorists opened fire on an FC official identified as Mujib within the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station on Ali Khel Road.

Police sources said the martyred FC personnel was on leave and had returned to his native village, Ali Khel. He was travelling towards Tank city for personal work when armed terrorists ambushed and targeted him.

Rescue 1122 shifted the body to the DHQ Hospital, while police registered a case and cordoned off the area before launching a search operation to track down the attackers.

Security analysts say terrorists increasingly target police, FC personnel, and anti-polio security teams in an attempt to weaken state presence, spread fear among civilians, and disrupt welfare initiatives in sensitive districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Authorities have vowed that operations against terrorists and their facilitators will continue across the province.
