Security forces conducted a targeted intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Chedgi area of Panjgur district, successfully neutralizing three terrorist from Fitna-al-Hindustan and disrupting an alleged plot to carry out subversive activities, according to official sources.
The operation was launched following credible intelligence regarding the presence and movement of armed elements in the area. Officials stated that the action was executed in a timely and coordinated manner, preventing what they described as “malicious intentions” attributed to the suspects.
During the course of the operation, three individuals identified as terrorist from Fitna-al-Hindustan were killed. Security forces have continued search and clearance activities in the surrounding area to locate and eliminate any remaining elements believed to be linked to the group.
No casualties among security personnel have been reported so far. Authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of the individuals involved or their organizational affiliations. Officials emphasized that the operation reflects the state’s continued resolve to counter militancy and maintain stability, particularly in sensitive regions.
The district of Panjgur, located in southwestern Balochistan, has witnessed periodic security operations in recent years due to concerns over militant activity. Intelligence-based operations have become a key component of counterterrorism efforts, aimed at preempting threats through precise and targeted actions.
Analysts note that such operations highlight ongoing security challenges in parts of the country, while also underscoring the authorities’ focus on proactive measures to address potential threats.
