ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Ishaq Dar, held a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, during which the two sides exchanged views on regional developments, including the ongoing dialogue between the United States and Iran, according to official sources.
The discussion focused on diplomatic coordination and efforts to promote peace and stability in the region amid evolving geopolitical dynamics.
According to the spokesperson of the Foreign Office, Wang Yi appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace and stability in the region and reaffirmed China’s continued support for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role at the regional and international levels.
The Chinese Foreign Minister also emphasized the importance of sustained engagement and dialogue in addressing regional challenges.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, in response, reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing diplomacy and supporting initiatives aimed at restoring and maintaining peace in the region.
Both sides agreed that dialogue and diplomatic engagement remain the only viable pathway for resolving disputes and reducing regional tensions.
During the conversation, the two leaders also exchanged views on Pakistan and China’s five-point peace initiative, which aims to facilitate peaceful resolution of regional issues through structured diplomatic cooperation.
They further agreed to remain in close contact and continue coordination on matters of mutual interest, particularly in the context of regional peace efforts.
