Jaffer Express Targeted in Two Separate Incidents; Security Forces Avert Major Disaster

Authorities have confirmed that swift action and effective security measures successfully prevented potential tragedy after two separate security incidents involving the Jaffer Express were reported in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan.

According to official sources, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated on a रेलवे track shortly after the Jaffer Express, en route from Quetta to Peshawar, had safely passed the affected section. The timing of the explosion averted what could have been a major disaster involving passengers and railway infrastructure.

In a separate incident, the same train was reportedly targeted by unidentified gunmen who opened fire on one of its bogies. Security personnel deployed for the protection of the railway responded promptly and effectively, repulsing the attack without any reported injuries or damage to the train.

The incidents occurred in the regions of Shikarpur (Sindh) and Sibi (Balochistan), both of which have witnessed heightened security vigilance in recent times. Law enforcement agencies and railway security forces have since intensified patrols and surveillance along key rail routes to ensure passenger safety.

Officials have reiterated their commitment to safeguarding public transportation networks and maintaining uninterrupted rail services across the country. Investigations into both incidents are currently underway, with authorities working to identify and apprehend those responsible.

“These coordinated responses demonstrate the preparedness and dedication of our security forces,” an official spokesperson stated. “The safety of passengers remains our utmost priority, and all necessary measures are being taken to prevent such incidents in the future.”

Railway operations continue as scheduled, with passengers advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to authorities.
