Pakistani security forces successfully repelled a series of coordinated attacks by members of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA) along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border during the night of 2–3 March 2026, according to official sources.
The TTA carried out fire raids targeting 36 locations along the border in Balochistan, aiming to infiltrate and destabilize border regions. Alert Pakistani troops engaged the attackers decisively, neutralizing 32 TTA fighters and inflicting injuries on 38 others. In a demonstration of valor and sacrifice, three Pakistani soldiers laid down their lives while defending the homeland. Authorities emphasized that all attacks were successfully repulsed, preventing any further escalation or civilian impact.
Simultaneously, Pakistani aerial forces continued precision strikes against TTA infrastructure in Jalalabad and Nangarhar. These strikes targeted strategic terrorist compounds and operational hubs, delivering a substantial blow to the group’s planning and logistical networks. Officials described the operations as carefully coordinated, combining ground intelligence and aerial precision to disrupt cross-border terrorist activity.
Security authorities stressed that Operation Ghazab Lil Haq remains ongoing, with a primary focus on eliminating terrorist sanctuaries, preventing attacks on civilian and military targets, and maintaining stability along Pakistan’s borders. The operation highlights Pakistan’s continued commitment to preemptively counter threats posed by extremist groups while minimizing collateral impact.
Officials also called on border communities to remain vigilant and cooperate with security forces, underlining that public awareness and support are essential to sustaining regional security and counterterrorism efforts.
