Iran’s state news agency (IRNA) has confirmed that several senior Iranian military leaders were killed in US-Israeli strikes carried out on Iranian territory on Saturday.
According to official Iranian sources, Defence Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Abdulrahim Mousavi were among those killed in the attacks.
Iranian authorities further stated that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, security adviser Ali Shamkhani, and the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohammad Pakpour, were also targeted in the strikes.
The government agency indicated that additional senior military commanders were killed during the operations, adding that their identities would be officially released later.
Following the reported deaths of high-ranking military and political figures, a period of mourning and heightened security alert has been observed inside Iran. Authorities have warned that the situation remains highly sensitive as regional tensions continue to rise.
The strikes have intensified uncertainty across West Asia, with diplomatic observers expressing concern that further escalation could trigger broader regional instability.
The developments are being closely monitored as conflicting claims and security reports continue to emerge from multiple sources.
