In response to unprovoked cross-border aggression by the Tehrik-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA), including physical raids and hostile fire targeting Pakistan positions along the Pak-Afghan border, the Pakistan security forces launched a decisive and proportionate counter-operation. The action was aimed at neutralizing threats to national security and safeguarding border integrity.
During operations in the Zhob sector, Pakistan’s security forces successfully secured approximately 32 square kilometers of territory along the border, identified as the Ghudwana Enclave, which had been used as a staging ground for TTA incursions. The operation was executed with precision and determination, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to defending its territorial sovereignty.
Officials have emphasized that the move is a defensive and lawful response to persistent hostile actions by TTA elements. Pakistani forces remain vigilant along all border sectors, ensuring that threats to national security are addressed decisively.
“The security and territorial integrity of Pakistan is non-negotiable,” a senior military spokesperson stated. “Operations along the Pak-Afghan border will continue to prevent any hostile activity and ensure peace for our citizens in border regions.”
The operation in the Zhob sector has reinforced Pakistan’s readiness and capability to respond to cross-border threats and maintain control over strategic border areas. Pakistan reiterates its long-standing commitment to peace in the region, while making it clear that any aggression against its forces or territory will be met with a firm and effective response.
