Pakistan has conveyed a clear message to the Afghan Taliban regime that it must choose between supporting terrorists or maintaining relations with Islamabad, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, said while briefing media representatives.

The military spokesperson confirmed that 274 militants were killed in Pakistan’s retaliatory action.

He said Pakistan carried out precision strikes in three provinces of Afghanistan, targeting seven different areas and wiping out militant hideouts. According to the DG ISPR, those locations had been used by the Afghan Taliban as bases for attacks against Pakistan, which became the basis for Islamabad’s response.

Operation Ghaiz ul Haq will continue until its objectives are fully achieved, he said.

Providing operational details, he stated that 22 locations were targeted across Kabul, Kandahar, Paktika, Paktia and Nangarhar. Corps headquarters, battalion headquarters, militant hideouts and weapons depots were among the targets. In Kandahar, a brigade headquarters was destroyed, while two additional headquarters and two key defensive installations were specifically struck.

In total, 73 check posts were completely destroyed and 18 were captured. A total of 115 tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed. Firing took place in 15 sectors at 53 locations.

Twelve Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom during the operation, while 27 were injured and one is reported missing.

The DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistani forces demonstrated professional precision and targeted only military objectives, maintaining that no civilian casualties occurred.

He said Afghan Taliban fighters abandoned the bodies of their associates and fled from several positions, adding that all posts from where attacks were launched against Pakistan have been eliminated.

“Those who carry out or facilitate terrorism against Pakistan will find no safe haven anywhere,” he said, stressing that the latest action was undertaken to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and protect its citizens.

He added that the nation stands united in the fight against terrorism and takes pride in its armed forces for delivering what he described as a deserved response to terrorists and their facilitators
