In a brazen and technologically sophisticated act of terrorism, an explosive-laden quadcopter was used to strike a Frontier Constabulary (FC) installation in the Daryoba area of Bannu, injuring eight security personnel, including a Naib Subedar and a Havaldar.
The attack occurred within the jurisdiction of Thana Wazir, where terrorists remotely piloted an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and dropped an improvised explosive device inside the FC Line premises. The device detonated shortly after impact, sending shockwaves through the compound and triggering an immediate emergency response.
Officials confirmed that the injured personnel have been identified as: Naib Subedar Hakim Shah, Havaldar Abdul Rasheed, Havaldar Asif, Sepoy Azam, Sepoy Sajid, Tariq, Abrar, Hakim.
Rescue teams and fellow personnel acted swiftly, evacuating the wounded to a nearby medical facility. Hospital sources report that all injured officials are under close medical supervision and are receiving necessary treatment. Their condition is described as stable.
