The Central Ulema Council Pakistan has issued a religious decree condemning the suicide attack at the Tarlai mosque, expressing solidarity with the victims and state institutions while calling for the eradication of Fitna Al-Khawarij from the country.
In its condemnation statement, the council declared that targeting places of worship and worshippers constitutes enmity toward both humanity and religion. It stated that those involved in such attacks cannot be considered Muslims, but rather enemies of Islam and Pakistan.
The council urged national unity against extremist elements and called for a thorough investigation into the incident to identify those responsible. It demanded that the perpetrators be given exemplary punishment to thwart conspiracies aimed at spreading unrest and instability.
The fatwa follows the suicide attack carried out earlier at the Tarlai mosque during Friday prayers, which resulted in 38 fatalities and left more than 150 people injured.
