Explosion Rocks Major Gas Pipeline in Lakki Marwat

In a blatant act of terrorism, unknown militants carried out a major sabotage operation targeting the main gas transmission infrastructure in Lakki Marwat, causing widespread panic, fire, and disruption of essential gas supplies. According to official and local sources, unidentified terrorists detonated explosive material near the Main Gas Pipeline’s Transmission Boosting Station (TBS) located in the Bhana Manjiwala area, within the jurisdiction of City Police Station Lakki Marwat. The powerful explosion completely destroyed the TBS along with a significant portion of the gas transmission line.

Following the blast, a massive gas leak ensued, triggering a large fire. Flames could be seen from a considerable distance, while the deafening sound of escaping gas echoed across nearby areas, intensifying fear and anxiety among residents. The force of the explosion was so severe that it sent shockwaves through the locality, creating widespread panic.

As a direct result of this terrorist attack, gas supply to thousands of households has been suspended, severely affecting daily life and essential domestic activities. Authorities are working to assess the full extent of the damage, while emergency response teams have been mobilized to control the fire, secure the area, and prevent further loss.

Law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the site and launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident. Security officials have termed the attack a deliberate attempt to damage critical national infrastructure and destabilize public life in the region.

No casualties have been reported so far; however, officials have stated that the situation remains highly sensitive due to the continued gas leakage. Residents have been advised to stay away from the affected area until the situation is fully brought under control.

This incident highlights the persistent threat posed by terrorist elements to vital energy infrastructure and underscores the urgent need for enhanced security measures to protect public assets and ensure the safety of citizens.
