Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, on Sunday said that Pakistan has been granted a historic opportunity by Almighty Allah to fulfill the noble purpose for which it was created, expressing strong confidence that the nation is moving swiftly and decisively toward that destiny.
Highlighting Pakistan’s evolving position on the world stage, Field Marshal Asim Munir stated that the country’s global importance and economic standing have improved significantly in recent times. He expressed optimism that Pakistan’s relevance and stature would continue to grow and gain broader international acknowledgment in the future.
Responding to a question regarding international recognition, the Field Marshal emphasized humility, stating that any appreciation or recognition he may have received was by the grace of Allah and, in essence, a recognition of Pakistan itself rather than of any individual.
He further remarked that Pakistan today is more stable, resilient, and stronger than before. “Pakistan was created in the name of Islam, and today it holds a distinct status and importance among Islamic countries,” he said, attributing the nation’s progress and stability to Allah’s special blessings. He also reaffirmed the country’s firm resolve and capability in dealing effectively with terrorism.
