Security forces carried out a successful operation in Balochistan’s Mangoli Kach Bambor mountain area, neutralizing seven militants belonging to proscribed groups, while a key commander was seriously injured, sources said.
According to sources, the operation targeted a militant camp located in the rugged Bambor mountain range, where forces effectively engaged the hideout following confirmed intelligence. During the assault, a commander known as “Bojla” sustained critical injuries, while seven to eight of his close associates were killed.
Among the militants eliminated, three were linked to Fitna al-Khawarij, while the remaining belonged to Fitna al-Hindustan, an Indian-backed terrorist network operating in the province, sources said.
The targeted facility was identified as a camp of the banned United Baloch Army (UBA), which had been used as a planning hub for attacks across multiple districts, including Kohlu, Barkhan, Harnai, and Sibi. Security officials said the camp played a key role in coordinating assaults on security forces, civilians, and development infrastructure in different parts of Balochistan.
Security sources noted that the operation comes amid a broader pattern in which militant groups, facing sustained pressure and shrinking operational space, have increasingly relied on exaggerated claims and disinformation campaigns to project strength. Recent attempts by such groups to fabricate narratives of territorial control and operational dominance have repeatedly collapsed when confronted with ground realities.
Officials said sanitization operations are ongoing in the surrounding areas to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining militant elements. Security forces reiterated their resolve to dismantle terrorist networks in Balochistan and prevent both physical attacks and associated propaganda efforts aimed at misleading the public and external audiences.
It is worth noting that security forces have intensified counterterrorism operations across the province in recent days, dealing significant blows to militant infrastructure and leadership as part of a sustained effort to restore peace and stability in Balochistan.
