Pakistan’s security forces have successfully carried out a high-impact intelligence-based operation in the Zamran Ranges of Kech District, Balochistan, targeting elements of the banned Fitna-al-Hindustan terrorist network, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The operation was launched following credible intelligence indicating the presence and movement of terrorists in the rugged and remote Zamran Ranges. Acting on precise and actionable information, security forces conducted a coordinated and well-planned operation aimed at neutralizing the threat and dismantling the terrorist infrastructure operating in the area.
During the operation, four to five terrorists were neutralized after an intense engagement. In addition, security forces located and destroyed a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and other military-grade material, delivering a major setback to the operational capabilities of the terrorist group.
Officials stated that the seized and destroyed materiel was being used to plan and execute acts of terrorism aimed at destabilizing the region and targeting civilians, security personnel, and state infrastructure. The successful elimination of the terrorists and destruction of their logistical resources has significantly disrupted the network’s ability to operate in the area.
Security forces conducted thorough clearance and sanitization of the surrounding terrain to rule out the presence of any remaining militants or explosive devices. No casualties were reported among security personnel.
The operation underscores the unwavering resolve and professionalism of Pakistan’s security forces in combating terrorism and ensuring peace and stability in Balochistan. Authorities reaffirmed that intelligence-based operations will continue against terrorist elements and their facilitators, with zero tolerance for any threat to national security.
Security forces remain on high alert and fully committed to eliminating terrorism in all its forms, reaffirming their determination to protect the people of Pakistan and safeguard the country’s territorial integrity.
