Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has highlighted India’s alleged role in exacerbating terrorism in the region following recent military confrontations. Addressing the media, he provided a detailed account of cross-border attacks and regional security dynamics.
Lieutenant General Chaudhry stated that the world witnessed India’s setback in the “Ma’raqa-e-Haq” operation, after which he claimed India intensified efforts to support terrorist activities. According to the DG ISPR, in October 2025, attacks were launched on terrorists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, resulting in the destruction of dozens of Afghan posts within hours, reflecting Pakistan’s operational capability and intelligence precision.
He strongly condemned India’s alleged targeting of civilians during what is referred to as Operation Sandor, stating: “Children and women were deliberately targeted. No country, including India, has the right to harm Pakistani citizens or infrastructure. Such actions are unacceptable and will not go unchallenged.”
Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that these acts reflect a broader pattern of using proxy terrorism to destabilize Pakistan, and he warned that evidence of India’s involvement continues to be documented by Pakistan’s security agencies. “The narrative of Operation Sandor remains a dark stain, and its repercussions are being closely monitored,” he said.
The DG ISPR concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding its citizens, countering terrorism decisively, and maintaining regional security and stability. He emphasized that Pakistan’s counterterrorism operations are guided by national security imperatives and intelligence-led precision, ensuring that threats are neutralized while civilians are protected.
