NRF Claims Taliban Casualties After Armed Clash in Baghlan’s

The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF), headed by Ahmad Massoud, has reported a clash with Taliban forces in Baghlan province that reportedly resulted in fatalities among Taliban fighters.

In an official statement, the NRF said the confrontation took place on Friday when Taliban fighters allegedly attempted to overrun an NRF position in the Dara-e-Kariz area of Barim village, located in Nahrin district. The NRF stated that its fighters responded decisively, launching a counteraction against the attacking force.

According to the NRF’s account, at least three Taliban fighters were killed during the exchange, after which Taliban units were compelled to withdraw from the area. The group further alleged that, during their retreat, Taliban fighters opened fire on a civilian shepherd, resulting in his death.

The NRF maintained that none of its fighters sustained injuries during the clash. The group described the incident as part of ongoing resistance efforts in northern Afghanistan, emphasizing its claim of maintaining defensive positions against Taliban operations.

As of the time of this release, the Taliban have not issued any statement or response regarding the reported incident or the claims made by the NRF.
