In a major counter-terrorism operation in Lakki Marwat, highly wanted militant commander Nosratullah, alias Maulvi Nosrat Wazir, was killed. He was listed in the region’s most dangerous terrorists and had a bounty of PKR 2.5 million on his head. Nosratullah was wanted by CTD Bannu in 28 serious cases, highlighting the severity of his terrorist activities.
The successful operation took place in Takhti Khel, Lakki Marwat, where police and CTD forces conducted a joint raid against militants linked to Fitna-ul-Khawarij. Officials confirmed that Nosratullah was among the six or more terrorists neutralized during the operation, marking a significant blow to extremist networks in the region.
Authorities stated that the operation has boosted the morale of security forces, and search-and-clearance operations continue in the area to eliminate remaining militant elements. This achievement demonstrates the government’s ongoing commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring regional security.
