A terrorist was killed while two others were injured when security forces carried out a targeted operation on an orchard in Khadri Mamandkhel after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area. Following the incident, the police issued precautionary guidelines to residents of Mamandkhel, Mamashkhel, and nearby localities, urging them to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious individuals or activities to prevent any major incident.
Police advised that if any unknown person is seen near a mosque, neighbourhood, or isolated location, residents should promptly inform law-enforcement agencies. Parents were also urged to keep children away from deserted or sensitive areas in view of the prevailing security situation.
In a separate incident in Hindi Khel, Jani Khel, an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists resulted in the death of a female passerby, while a child sustained injuries.
Meanwhile, in Hathi Khel, Domail, unidentified men abducted two individuals; however, swift police action and timely checkpoints forced the abductors to release the captives and flee.
Police said that security measures had been intensified across the region to prevent further untoward incidents.
